Ascesa is chaos and order.
Written before, while and after embracing an emotionally dark place, it's part of one's journey to self-awareness. There's love, anger, rumination, meditation, and realization. It's a lingering, gentle, pensive rise presented as a melodious milkshake of stories, experiences, and feelings.
I hope you'll just enjoy it somehow. Maybe it will make you feel better about your day, maybe it will make you embrace or escape your darkness. Maybe something else. I guess it depends on who and where you are.
Our listening patterns are very sparse. We listen to music in many situations and different ways. We play it in the background while doing something else, or while looking outside the window during a trip and engage in some introspection, or we turn off the lights and try our best to feel immersed, having that whole personal listening experience.
We smile, cry, meditate, dance, shake over an incredibly huge and assorted catalog of beats, melodies, voices, and noises.
This album is a long climb, it's very personal and might be arduous for some to experience in one single session. In case you feel that might be your case, consider dividing your listening experience into 2 parts: take a break at track 10, assimilate, and when you are ready, start from track 11.
Thank you for listening.
